Why?
Why don't you think before you say things like 'he would have been handsome'? Why do you look at me like I'm something instead of just a guy? Why do you pretend to like me then call me cripple? Why do you raise you voice when you talk to me? Why do you think that I can't understand what you say just because I'm in a wheelchair? WHY?

WOW REAL TALK!!! SO REAL IT GAVE ME CHILLS
ReplyDeletePEOPLE ARE JUST NOT EDUCATED
This has always been a sensitive subject to me because a very special person in my life (my cousin) was born with water on the brain, a cleft lip, and had no eyes, and had a host of other internal problems. And at a very young age I had the opportunity to work with special children at: Kings Daughters Hospital.
Tyron, I use to get into arguments with people that would whisper things about my cousin while we were in public and I acutally got into a physical fight with someone. My Aunt told me instead of getting so upset try talking to people, try to educate those ignorant people, and let them know it is ok to inquire.
I have always belived God created special needs children/people for a reason.
"A blessing in Disguise".

ReplyDeleteit was great meeting you. And yes, meeting you was different, but you surpassed my wildest expectations of you, even now.

1st I wanna start by saying I read this with total admiration...u are as real as they get!I admire the gall u have to speak ur mind!2nd,u r not a blessing in disguise...u r a blessing...period!!!!
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately the world is filled with ignorant people and there's no running away from that.everyone comes across such and my conclusion is people who pick on others do that to mask their own insecurities...which is why u shouldn't pay them no mind :)
I have had the utmost priviledge of working with cleft palate and lip patients and I gotta tell ya,I have never met people with higher spirits and so fullnof life!!!!what a joy!!!so what if we have differences?doesn't make u any less of a human being...we all have our own disabilities...physical or otherwise!bless ur heart for speaking out! :)
