Did I Miss Something?

I looked at last night’s newscast hoping to see something that our Government did to celebrate the International Day of People with Disability but I saw nothing. Did I miss something? Did I fall asleep for 30 seconds during the newscast or did our Government ‘overlook’ the day? Please tell me that I fell asleep because I do not want to believe that our Government ‘overlooked’ disability awareness…

Trinidad and Tobago Prepared for Ebola???

I was looking at how prepared Barbados seems to be for the arrival of the Ebola virus then I remembered the head of our Office of Disaster Preparedness and Management talking about how prepared we are with something which looked like a fish net on his head.

My 2014 - 2015 Budget Response

Increasing the disability grant from $1500 to $1800 per month is good but I would love to see our policy makers live on $1800 per month. I am not saying to give us more money, just to make more services accessible to us. National development Centre for the Differently Abled is to be commissioned before the end on 2014, I will be monitoring this. More 'special buses' are to come on stream. I hope they last this time. I am not harsh. I am just real... I will post more on my Equal Treatment For Differently Abled People facebook fan page.
